Hi, I’m Rose!
This is the part of True & Strong where I step out from behind the coaching and share a little more about who I am, how I got here, and why I care so deeply about helping women be true to themselves and live with strength and conviction as they become the best versions of themselves.
My journey hasn’t followed a straight line. I earned a university degree in Physical Activity Studies (the equivalent of a Sports Sciences degree) and being fit and active has always been part of my life. But as often happens, my career took a different direction. I spent over two decades in the events industry planning, organising, solving problems, and holding everything together behind the scenes. It was high pressure, fast-paced, and mostly fulfilling. But over time, I realised I wanted something different. I began to feel empty, like I was pouring energy into something that no longer felt like my purpose. I wanted a life that felt more aligned with who I truly was, more stable, more meaningful, more whole.
During this time, I found myself navigating the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes of perimenopause. My body was changing. My energy was shifting. I realised I didn’t want to keep pushing so hard and gaining nothing meaningful in return. I wanted to live better, but I felt stuck. I didn't know how to get out of the rut.
As women, especially Generation X women, we’ve been brainwashed into hating our bodies, trying every fad diet, and believing that endless hours on the treadmill would finally get us to where we wanted to be. I started to seek the truth. And it wasn’t until I found a fitness coach that I began to unlearn those lies and felt the desire to help other women on their own wellness journey.
That desire led me here. Studying personal training, diving into mindset coaching, and slowly building True & Strong, a space where women like me (and maybe like you) can come to feel stronger, more focused, and more at peace in their own bodies and lives.
I’m not a fitness influencer or a guru. I’m a woman who believes in showing up, doing the work, and supporting other women as they do the same not with pressure or perfectionism, but with care and purpose. My faith plays a quiet but steady role in my life. I work with women of all backgrounds, and my Christian faith gives me the strength and grounding to honour both myself and those I serve with respect, compassion, and integrity.
Today, I’m continuing my own wellness transformation and building a coaching practice that reflects who I am and how I hope to support others.
